Job Summary

Location: Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Texas

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Account Executive is responsible to support, service, sustain and grow the existing dealer network. Also, where necessary or decided, expand/add new dealers, and thereby increase FPI’s market share. This position reports to the Regional Manager, Sales & Business Development and is ideally physically located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area or Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Kansas City, Oklahoma City or Tulsa. The sales territory for this position consists of Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet and/or exceed Sales Targets in Territory.
  • Achieve goals as laid out in the AE territory business plan.
  • Complete Action Plan for each TBD dealer by TBD date.
  • Present Regency business plan to each TBD dealer by TBD date.
  • Present Early Buy Program and secure Purchase and file DA (Discount Agreement) for each dealer by TBD date.
  • Support all Key Dealer guidelines, where appropriate.
  • Call on all assigned accounts on a regular basis, as determined by the Sales Manager / Director.
  • Responsible for managing all Regency showroom units is assigned dealers.
  • Schedule and present Regency Sales Training Program to each Dealer and sales staff; update and retrain new staff as needed.
  • Discuss and schedule demand creation activities/events (ie: weekend sales events, local trade shows, fairs, etc.) with Dealers gaining focus on Regency products. Number is TBD and supports territory business plan to achieve sales budget.
  • Schedule the installation of Regency products in all showrooms with Dealer’s installers. 
  • Assist Credit department to clear up discrepancies and collect past due accounts when asked.
  • Maintain professionalism and act in a manner consistent with FPI mission and guiding principles.
  • Additional related responsibilities as may be required.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to read / understand customers in a business environment.
  • Experience evaluating the marketplace and making recommendations for territory development.
  • Previous success at prospecting for new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
  • Ability to train and educate dealers staff in sales, products, admin with Regency, etc.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to understand technical installations of our products.
  • Able to travel, as required, to manager your territory and business plan (overnight may be required).

Education/Training

  • Independent Sales or Formal Sales training would be an asset.
  • Hearth Industry knowledge would be an asset or, related industry such as HVAC.
  • Post-Secondary Education is an asset.
  • Experience selling, supporting, and managing channel partners, such as dealers, distributors, etc. necessary

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in outside sales, preferably managing channel partners (dealers) or working for a dealer/distributor in a technical product industry that includes installation and service.
