Cathy Chimienti – Forest Glade Fireplaces

About Cathy

Cathy went to school for interior design and worked in the Retail market for almost 20 years before transitioning into the family business a little over 2-years ago. She recognized that people entering the fireplace showroom often had trouble deciding what finishing materials or designs they wanted. As a result she went to go work for the family business assisting clients in setting budgets, design consultations, and assisting with material choices. In addition Cathy will review blueprints, plans, and offers in-home consultations.

In her current role, Cathy is responsible for the social media pages, designing and managing the showroom displays, customer design consultation, and customer satisfaction.

Cathy describes her personal style as ‘transitional’ which uses a mix of styles and combines both modern and traditional elements. Ultimately however, Cathy believes the homeowner’s style and preferences should take the ultimate consideration. Currently Cathy has a linear fireplace in her home, however, is considering updating to a Regency City Series San Francisco Bay.

Highlights

Currently Cathy is very excited about working to incorporate a Regency City Series Chicago Corner in a homeowner’s living room. The fireplace will be finished with wood paneling creating a stunning rustic-chic look. In addition the City Series, Cathy also enjoys working with the P90 Gas Fireplaces as “they look authentic… they are beautiful arched front units that can finish with concrete panels that look like rock” creating a very realistic looking fire perfect for the homes in her area, Windsor Ontario, Canada.

Cathy’s Experience with Regency

Cathy enjoys showcasing Regency products to perspective buyers because they are always impressed with Regency’s flame and the customization afforded by the variety of accessories such a faceplates and brick liners.
She says that working for the company that is actually installing the products gives her an appreciation for the quality of Regency products. Some of the lower-quality models offered by competitors frequently need repairs, or require callbacks and therefore she recommends Regency for its excellent design and high-quality.
Currently the Windsor market is experiencing a building boom and many of Cathy’s customers are looking for zero clearance and modern fireplaces for their new homes. She is very fond of Regency’s line of zero-clearance fireplaces and modern/contemporary fireplace options that make it easy to match a customer’s design tastes.

Past Projects

This customer came in looking for old world authentic European style for the ‘man cave’ in their new build. After some consultation Cathy and the homeowner decided the P90 would provide the value and look that they were going for. The fireplace is finished in heavy rock with a tumble Sealed Stone with a shimmery finish that looks both refined and rustic at the same time.

This project utilized an HZ965E Regency Gas Fireplace to create a sleek, clean look with contemporary wood panels which match detailing throughout the rest of the home. A small border of tile was used to meet the minimum non-combustible requirements for this particular unit and a bed of clear crystals was used to give this HZ965E a beautiful and modern look.

This renovation project added the Regency San Francisco Bay 40” and used the Regency steel framing kit for ease-of-installation. This stunning fireplace was finished using a type of veneered porcelain – Porcelanosa, which is more affordable and allows for consistent grain, unobstructed veining, and a truly exceptional visual. This fireplace renovation helped to transform the room and create a huge focal point in the room.
